The Events Calendar just introduced new shortcode filters that allows you to display events with certain attributes, and exclude categories. Filtering is also available for Elementor!

Shortcode & Elementor Filtering
Due to popular demand, the developers of The Events Calendar added a new feature to the Pro version that enables you to use the [tribe-events] shortcode to display events for only a particular venue, specific organizer, or single event author. You can even exclude specific categories and tags as well.
Users of the Elementor website builder now have this same functionality available within the “Events View” widget and can make these exclusions visually. Note that tag exclusion not included in the Elementor Events View widget.
