Kinsta: Edge Caching Now Available for Managed WordPress Hosting
The Kinsta team has just introduced Edge Caching, which is now available for free for all Managed WordPress hosting plans, to effectively increase page speed. In February 2023, they have added the new Hobby hosting tier.
Edge Caching
Edge Caching allows you to store pages cached in your website’s local data center in one of the 275+ PoPs on the global Cloudflare network. This makes your website pages available to your visitors faster and reduces the number of requests that need to be handled by the server in your chosen data center. The result: a faster website by more than 50% on average.
In January, Edge Caching will be automatically added to all live environments. However, you can also enable it right now from your MyKinsta dashboard.
By the way, Kinsta offers even more Cloudflare features that are included for free in all managed WordPress plans. You can keep your WordPress sites safe with Cloudflare’s powerful firewall and DDoS protection. In addition, you can experience lightning-fast websites thanks to the high-performance, HTTP/3-enabled CDN with more than 275 PoPs.
New Hobby Tier
Kinsta‘s new Hobby Tier allows you to pursue your development goals regardless of the size of your app. It’s perfect for learning development or working on a personal passion project.
For as little as $7, you get 0.3 CPU and 0.3 GB RAM and can enjoy the benefits of Kinsta’s higher tier application hosting such as premium GCP infrastructure with 25+ data center locations, integration and auto-sync with GitHub, 24/7 support, and access to MyKinsta. The only feature not included with the Hobby tier is a custom domain.
