Newsletter Glue Releases Latest Posts Block

The Newsletter Glue team has just introduced a brand new Latest Posts block which allows you to automatically add your latest blog posts to your automated newsletters.

New Latests Posts Block

The new Latests Posts block for Gutenberg is a great addition to the recently announced automatic newsletter feature. Your latest posts will be added automatically when the newsletter is sent, e.g. every week or according to a schedule you set. You can add the posts from the last 24 hours or the last 7, 14, 30 or 60 days.

Fully built in React, the block allows you toย dynamically filter your latest posts by author, post types, category, and more. You can even choose between multiple posts and single posts and – of course – the number of posts. Creating an email digest or sending your latest post to your email list has never been easier!

In addition, Newsletter Glue has also added a new option that allows you to remove posts from Latest Posts. For example, if you publish 15 posts per month, you now have the option to display only your top 5 posts in your monthly newsletter and no longer have to add all the posts available in the selected period.

Update: Note that the Latest Posts block is no longer dynamic. Each time you make a change to the content or filter options, you must now click the “Update Block” button to save your changes. The reason for this is obvious. For example, if you send a weekly email digest with your last 5 posts over a longer period of time, every single newsletter would otherwise show exactly the same content – namely the current last 5 blog posts.

Newsletter Glue also added a new feature that allows you to select the time frame for your latest posts. You can choose from daily, weekly, and monthly options, e.g. display the latest posts from the past 2 weeks. Nice, eh?

Due to popular demand, Newsletter Glue has also added a two column option. In the future, this display option is also planned for their existing post embed block. Stay tuned!
