Pier #109 – WordPress Debugging Evolved, Tinkerwell 5 & Bricks 2.0
Welcome to the 109th issue of The Pier. Stackable 3.17.0 completely revamps its design library, which now inherits styles from your block theme and design system. It also comes with 375 brand new designs.
After being abandoned by its original developer, David Stone has forked WP Ultimo, a Website as a Service (WaaS) plugin for WordPress. Multisite Ultimate is now available as a community-maintained project on GitHub.
Last Chance: ServerAvatar will be pivoting from a self-managed model to a managed model (more like Cloudways). This update will be pushed on 1 August 2025. Existing customers will still be able to connect their own servers. Don’t miss out on ServerAvatar’s lifetime deal, which is coming to an end soon!

👋 Tinkerwell 5 Now Available
Tinkerwell 5 features an integrated AI agent located right next to your code editor. It helps you to write better Eloquent queries and to prototype application logic without creating test files. It also helps you to understand and fix tricky bugs faster by understanding your application context.
Tinkerwell 5 comes with built-in support for the Model Context Protocol (MCP). This enables AI tools such as Claude, Cursor and Windsurf to communicate directly with Tinkerwell and use it as their backend code runner.

OttoKit 1.1.2 adds a new ClickWhale integration.
MemberPress releases its highly anticipated Square integration, enabling you to sell memberships, courses and other digital products.
The Modula Pro 2.8.13 update adds compatibility with Imagify.
GiveWP now enables you to disable the credit card button on your PayPal Donations smart buttons. Three new shortcodes have also been added: ‘Campaign Donations’, ‘Campaign Donors’ and ‘Campaign Comments’. Finally, the Visual Donation Form Builder is now compatible with GoCardless.
Events Calendar Pro 7.6.1 now integrates with WP All Export, supporting the export and migration of recurring events and event series. It also features updated calendar view templates that integrate the category colours functionality.
Spectra announces an upcoming new global style system.
Developed by SEOPress, MailerPress is now officially in beta. This plugin lets you create, send and manage newsletters directly from WordPress, eliminating the need for third-party services (see The Pier #98).
The focus of BricksSync 1.1.0 is on improving exports and providing more comprehensive support for Bricks components. It also features internal clean-up and full compatibility testing with Bricks 2.0 RC.
TranslatePress 2.9.20 is now compatible with the WPBakery plugin.
AreaWP introduces a host of new features to its WaaS platform for WordPress. These include multi-year and monthly payment terms, custom add-ons, PayPal and Stripe integration, tax settings and invoicing, and more.

AB Split Test 2.0.2 introduces a new test summary that includes uplift information.

xCloud 1.8.7 brings custom blueprints, allowing you to easily upload both free and pro plugins and themes.
Digital Adoption
Usetiful releases a new Intercom integration that allows you to synchronize contacts and contact properties from Intercom to Usetiful. This means that you can reuse segments and properties that you already have in Intercom. Now in Early Access: Typeblox, the new Knowledge Base Editor.
Log Management
Better Stack now allows you to choose where your telemetry data is stored. Select from the available data regions or configure your own custom S3 bucket for greater control and compliance.
E-Learning
With Klasio, you can now create and manage all your course websites in one place. You can also now archive or delete courses, and add custom CSS and other code snippets to your site header and footer.
Reputation Management
With EmbedMyReviews, agency clients can now access a more insightful credit usage and balance report for email and SMS credits.
