Welcome to the 154th issue of The Pier. There has been a lot of interest in using static websites as an alternative to creating your website within WordPress. This is completely understandable, given that the process of creating a website now begins with an AI agent or AI-powered design tool. The good news is that: ZipWP has just launched static website staging and hosting services. P.S. They are also putting the finishing touches to an HTML-to-WordPress converter, so you can easily switch from a static website to a WordPress one.

Partnership:ACPT is partnering with Soflyy, the company behind Breakdance, Oxygen and WP All Import. Soflyy will handle the business and marketing aspects of the WordPress custom post type plugin, enabling Mauro to concentrate on developing it.
Launch:TranslateXYZ offers AI translation add-ons that allow you to use OpenAI, Gemini, DeepL and other leading AI providers alongside your favourite multilingual plugins, such as WPML, Polylang, TranslatePress and Loco Translate, to automatically translate your WordPress website in no time.
macOS File Transfer Apps: The Panic team has announced the early beta release of Transmit 6.0. This new version features a brand new user interface, scheduled syncs, a faster file sync engine, shortcuts, S3 SSO support, and much more. It also brings back Transmit Disk, a feature that allows you to mount your remote servers directly in the Finder and work with them as you would with any other disk. This time, however, it uses Apple’s native File Provider technology.

👋 SEOPress: New SEO Dashboard & SureRank Migration
The SEOPress 9.9 update features a completely redesigned SEO dashboard with a modern, two-column layout built using React.
It also features a new setup wizard with one-click migration from SureRank, as well as a smarter universal SEO metabox. You can now just double-click a keyword to edit it. This update also introduces Google keyword suggestions with autocomplete and smarter content analysis for AI crawlers, thanks to new content quality and structure checks. Video schema with the title, description, duration and thumbnail will now be filled in automatically.
Additionally, SEOPress now offers comprehensive accessibility features across the entire admin interface, including keyboard navigation, focus indicators, screen reader support and colour contrast. The entire React admin is now WCAG 2.1 AA and RGAA 4.1 compliant.
Super Admin Mode is an optional feature that gives Angie read-write access to your file system, database and PHP layer, enabling them to perform operations on your behalf.
The Vercel AI Gateway plugin provides WordPress sites with access to hundreds of models from over 40 providers via a single API key.
With SureForms 2.10, you can style every form on your WordPress site using a single preset. It also automatically imports your old HTML forms (video).
TranslatePress 3.2 reduces automatic translation costs by improving the filtering of translatable text. The language switcher now supports Bricks.

WooCommerce Filter for Breakdance helps customers quickly find the right products with its fast AJAX filters, colour swatches, search and categories.
Great news for merchants selling at markets, pop-ups or in brick-and-mortar stores! There’s no need to use two separate systems. The WooCommerce app now supports in-person card payments in an additional 13 countries.
Paymattic 4.6.22 introduces a comprehensive GiveWP-to-Paymattic migration engine, designed to seamlessly transfer your forms, donors, donations, subscriptions and email notifications in a single, guided process, ensuring no records are lost.
Communities
SureDash now includes a powerful, immersive, modal search experience. Members can now quickly choose what they want to search for, whether that be discussions, events, resources, courses or anything else, making it much easier to find exactly what they need. You can also now enable admin email notifications for new posts and comments. Next up: AI enhancements, course enrollee reporting, quizzes, certificates and a new setup assistant.

MailerLite launches two new email editors: The Simple Email Builder is a minimal, distraction-free editor designed for text-based emails. The Custom HTML Editor is a professional HTML editor that provides full code control. It comes with a built-in AI coding assistant and is fully optimized for Canva HTML exports. With the new Brand Styles feature, your clients can simply paste in their website URL and our tool will automatically pull in their logo, brand colours, fonts and social links. They also get a live preview of how the style will look in emails.
SureCookie Premium Beta 3 introduces Banner Visibility Rules. You can now hide the cookie banner on specific rule sets, with the option to still allow tracking scripts in those locations when needed.
Uptime & DNS Monitoring
Scanfully 1.10 can now track DNS records across multiple resolvers, detect DNS drift and check propagation. It can also watch CAA and DNSSEC and connect DNS changes to email authentication health. Improvements have also been made to CDN-aware uptime monitoring, per-site uptime settings, email authentication checks, notification categories, plugin vulnerability views, payment method updates and performance graphs with spike annotations.
Accessability
OneTap 6.15.0 introduces a new AltPilot integration for AI-powered, SEO-ready alt texts. There is also a new text alignment control in the form of a single toggle module that cycles through ‘Align Left’, ‘Align Center’, ‘Align Right’ and ‘Off’ with each click.
Automation

Upon enabling this feature, organizers will be notified when someone applies, and approved affiliates will receive an email informing them that they can start using their affiliate dashboard.

EmbedMyReviews now allows agency customers to add their own custom domain to hosted feedback forms.
