Welcome to the 155th issue of The Pier. Joost de Valk, founder of Yoast, has released The Website Specification: a platform-agnostic, comprehensive list of the technical features that a modern website should have.

Launch I: GreenLight Dash is a new unified, agent-first and privacy-first local creative workspace (BYOK). It combines a mood board, asset manager, video editor, AI agent and content production automation platform. Use DASHGREENLIFE to get 50% off the lifetime plan.

Launch II: Daniele from Bricksforge has launched Flowguard, an automated testing and monitoring plugin for WordPress, offering a lifetime deal. A cloud version for non-WordPress sites is also in the pipeline.

Private Beta: Gijo from FlyingPress and FlyingCDN has announced the private beta launch of FlyingHost. This new managed WordPress hosting platform has been built from the ground up for performance and features isolated containers, dedicated Redis and a database for each site, as well as Cloudflare Enterprise. There is no need for server tuning, caching configuration or CDN setup.

Exciting: You can now connect Lettermint directly with Mailcoach. Set it up as your mailer and all your marketing and transactional emails will be sent via the EU-based email delivery platform.

Events: EventKoi 1.3.12.0 adds a new Google-style week view, while version 1.3.13.0 adds a new frontend event submission feature. This feature includes optional moderation, a theme-aware form with a custom date/time picker, a rich-text description field, the ability to upload a featured image, RSVP and recurring options, calendar assignment, honeypot spam protection and support for editing your own submission. Frontend submission wasn’t really great in The Events Calendar. The UI was outdated and the Community Events add-on was required. I’m not sure if this has changed under the Liquid Web umbrella.

Milestone: With the addition of Gutenberg support in Novamira 1.5.0, AI agents can now create and edit both native and third-party blocks. It can also author and edit posts, pages, templates, template parts and navigation menus. Novamira Pro 1.2 adds support for Breakdance, Divi 5, Etch, GeneratePress, Kadence Blocks and Theme, Mosaic, WooCommerce, and more.
