Welcome to the 157th issue of The Pier. Flowguard 1.0.6 has introduced a new error video recording feature to the automated testing WordPress plugin. When a flow fails, you will receive a video of the entire browser session, enabling you to see exactly what happened and how Flowguard navigated through your site. But what is the difference between visual regression testing and real browser testing? Visual regression tools compare screenshots and notify you of any differences after an update. Flowguard, however, runs a real browser. It navigates to pages, clicks buttons, fills out and submits forms, and checks if elements exist. It’s end-to-end testing built on Playwright.

Launch: SureContact has released SureContact SMTP, its own built-in email sending service. It features managed deliverability, one-click DKIM and SPF, managed IPs, bounce handling, a DNS setup wizard, and more.

Milestone I: Tutor LMS 4.0 will launch on 8 July.

Milestone II: FluentCRM has passed 80,000 active installations.

Milestone III: Framer 3.0 (video) introduces Agents that bring AI to the canvas. They can design entire pages, work with you to create breakpoints and add effects, and help you to write code and connect to the CMS. They can also organize styles and share site analytics. With Branching, you can create a branch to experiment with, review changes, compare versions and merge when the work is ready. With External Agents, you can connect Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or any other AI tool to your Framer projects. Use your AI workflow while Framer remains the canvas, CMS and publishing layer.

Acquisition: In an all-stock deal worth $60 billion, SpaceX has acquired Anysphere, the company behind the AI coding agent Cursor.

👋 New: Variant Restrictions

Nelson from SurelyWP has released a powerful new feature for B2B for SureCart. Say hello to Variant Restrictions, which complement existing product and price restrictions for SureCart.

With this new feature, you can now control which product variant options are visible to customers based on their WordPress user role or SureMembers access group.

This opens up a wide range of possibilities for wholesale stores, membership sites and businesses that need to offer different products to different customer groups.

For instance, you could make a ‘Small’ product size available to all customers while restricting ‘Medium’ and ‘Large’ sizes to wholesale customers only. You could also create colours, packaging options, or product configurations that are exclusive to members.

WordPress

Unblock announce the upcoming release of visual UIs for conditions, queries and expressions. No coding necessary!

Flowguard now comes with a ‘Run Code’ step, which provides a proper code editor within the flow wditor. This editor offers syntax highlighting, live validation and auto-formatting, as well as a sidebar containing snippets that can be inserted with a single click. You can run code in two modes. In ‘Browser’ mode, your code runs inside the page, just like in the browser console. There is full DOM access. In ‘Playwright’ mode, your code runs with access to the Playwright page object and helper functions. You can click on elements, fill in forms, wait for navigation and take screenshots.

WP Umbrella introduces a rebuilt dashboard that displays the performance, updates, security, PHP issues, backups and reports of every site on one screen, with the option to perform bulk actions on all of them. In addition, migration from a backup allows you to deploy any backup to another site via SFTP or FTP in just three guided steps.

Dancepad 2.2 for Breakdance introduces 11 new elements, while Widgets Supply 1.2 for Elementor introduces 12, including Portfolio, Polaroid and Glossy Logo widgets.

ACPT 2.1.0 Beta introduces Custom Content Types (CCTs), which allow you to create dedicated database tables for any type of structured data. Each table has its own column editor with over 30 field types, an auto-generated record manager in the WordPress admin area and an optional REST API endpoint. There is also a brand-new Canvas UI and a Meta Keys Manager.

With WPForms, any MCP-compatible AI client such as Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor can now build and change your forms directly.

Directorist releases a new Divi integration, which allows you to turn your directory into a native Divi 5 module and build it visually however you want. Additionally, the Directorist Mobile App is now available in version 2.0 for both iOS and Android (video).

Elegant Themes introduces customizable workspaces for Divi 5.

RTA Pro (Regenerate Thumbnails Advanced Pro) is now free with any ShortPixel Unlimited or Unlimited AI plan.

EventKoi 1.3.15.0 allows you to add custom RSVP and checkout fields, as well as terms and conditions to the ticket checkout form.

Motion.page 3.2 features a responsive editing redesign from scratch and comes with fully dynamic editing, allowing you to tweak and polish your animations at any breakpoint.

E-Commerce & Purchasing Power Parity

FluentCart 1.4.1 now comes with a built-in eCommerce MCP server. Put simply, you can now communicate with your store using Claude, Codex, or other AI clients. Ask a question and receive an answer. Request an action and it will be carried out. For example: ‘Create a 15% coupon called SPRINGSALE that expires at the end of the month.’ With your permission, FluentCart securely exposes your store’s data and actions to AI tools like Claude, allowing them to act on your behalf. Additionally, you can now turn customers into subscribers using a subscription checkbox at checkout.

FluentCart 1.4.2 introduces EU withdrawal compliance.

SureCart also announces a new EU Right of Withdrawal plugin (video).

Advanced Variations will soon be available for both the free and pro versions of FluentCart. Watch this video for a short preview.

With Evendeals, you can now automatically generate a pricing table and PPP banners for your products. Customize it to match your brand, then simply add the HTML or React code to your project. Additionally, Evendeals can detect and block proxy and Tor traffic, meaning users can no longer mask their location to obtain discounts they are not eligible for. This ensures that your regional pricing remains fair and accurate. Finally, alongside Polar and Creem, FastSpring is a new payment gateway.

WPXPO announces that WowInvoice will soon be EU VAT-compliant, giving WooCommerce store owners complete control over the formatting, placement and checkout validation of VAT data.

EchoRewards for WooCommerce now offers custom reward coupons for each customer, enabling you to set a unique coupon type, amount, expiry date and usage limit for each referrer. Also new are custom reward points per customer, which allow you to credit top referrers with more points per referral and cap redemptions per order. Finally, custom referral rules allow you to control exactly what discount new customers get when using a specific referrer’s code.

Appointment Bookings

LatePoint 1.6.0 introduces a new Service Display Mode for booking forms and buttons. This allows you to display either all services and bundles, individual services, or bundled services. New White Label settings, as well as Base Fee support for group bookings, have also been added. You can now charge a one-off fee per booking, in addition to per-participant pricing.

Hydra Booking 1.1.45 introduces HubSpot integration for data synchronization, as well as iCal links for individual calendars. New features also include two-way synchronization with Outlook Calendar and Google Calendar.

Amelia 9.6 adds the ability to connect IvyForms as a pre-booking intake form, with the option of mapping form fields and displaying the form directly within the booking flow.

SureCookie 1.1.0 introduces a new AI Assistant integration via MCP, as well as WordPress Abilities APIs for AI-powered SureCookie management. The ‘Banner Message’ and ‘Preference Modal Description’ fields in the Banner Content settings now support HTML tags

CRM

FluentCRM 3.1.5 introduces a new FluentCart checkout subscription opt-in feature, allowing you to assign lists and tags and enable double opt-in from the checkout page.

Helpdesk

Spatie releases There There, a new AI-powered helpdesk which provides context and drafts replies.

Heroic Inbox 3 is a shared inbox and helpdesk for WordPress. It has been rebuilt from the ground up and offers one-click connection to Gmail and Outlook, a redesigned UI, email importing, automated workflows and more.

Web & Product Analytics

Usermaven introduces Analytics Hub, a completely redesigned experience that brings together all your analytics in one centralized workspace. Rather than moving between different sections, you can now browse and manage funnels, journeys, trends and retention analyses from one place.

Directories

Directify 2.0 introduces a new Live Theme Editor, allowing you to customize colours, fonts, homepage sections and footers with a live preview of your actual site — no CSS required! The Monetize hub is the place in your panel where you can view your directory’s revenue and set up paid listings, ads and more. There are also 14 new niche templates, including the new ‘Members’ template designed for associations, churches, alumni networks, and communities. Finally, the new Developers page provides details on the REST API, webhooks, CLI and the MCP server, enabling AI agents to manage your directory.

Email Newsletter

Mailercloud now offers dedicated IP addresses. With a dedicated IP address, your emails are sent from an address exclusively assigned to your account. This means that your sender reputation is built entirely on your own activity, and no one else’s can affect it.

LinkedIn Automation

HeyReach releases a message preview feature that allows you to see exactly how each message will appear to each lead, with personalized variables filled in and a clear warning when custom data is missing. Additionally, the Sequence Builder has been built from the ground up.

WhatsApp Automation

With the latest Pabbly Chatflow Mobile App update, you can now add and connect WhatsApp numbers directly from your phone at any time.

Novashare 1.6.7 adds new share and follow buttons for MeWe, as well as new follow buttons for Cash App, Ko-fi, and Venmo.

The Publer x Linkie integration is now officially live. You can now connect your social accounts to Linkie via Publer. This allows you to automatically display Publer-published posts on your Linkie profile, complete with custom destination links.
