Pier #174 – FluentCart Launches Dynamic Pricing & Multi-Currency, xSpeed Cache Adds Cloudflare Enterprise & PinkDocs Roadmap Arrives

Ahoi.dev

Welcome to the 174th issue of The Pier. xSpeed Cache is now available with Cloudflare Enterprise! This new add-on allows you to serve your entire WordPress site through Cloudflare’s Enterprise edge without requiring your own Cloudflare account. xSpeed Cache will guide you through the DNS setup and automatically verify your domain and SSL. If you’re already using xCloud’s Cloudflare Enterprise, xSpeed will detect this automatically and work alongside your existing setup, including cache purging. Cloudflare Enterprise costs just $5 per domain per month on top of an active xSpeed Cache Pro licence.

Milestone: FluentCart introduces Dynamic Pricing in version 1.8.0.

Rebranding: PhantomWP is now PhantomStudio, and version 1.0 beta 1 is live. PhantomWP started out as a way to quickly build Astro sites from WordPress. It has grown into much more than that. You can now create visual content and import data from WordPress, Sanity, WooCommerce, content collections, or plain data files. “WP” just doesn’t cut it anymore.

Update Spree: WP Umbrella has introduced automated core and theme updates, two-factor authentication (2FA) across your workspace, and a new team member management page with support for custom roles. You can also purchase on-demand security audits. Next up: A new alert system, a new logging system, staging management and contact form testing.

Multilingual: Take your site global with AI-powered translation from Universally for Framer, now available!

Launch: Bit Apps will launch Bit Connect on 19 October, bringing community discussions, feature requests, feedback and product roadmaps directly into WordPress. P.S. It’s already powering Bit CRM.

Here is a selection of the latest and greatest blog posts we published this week on Ahoi.dev. You will also find some interesting industry news, the latest directory listings on The Port, job openings, and more. Enjoy!

Fluent Support 2.4.5

👋 New: Remote Support Portal

With Fluent Support 2.4.5, you can run the customer portal on your main site even if your helpdesk is located elsewhere. This keeps support data separate and ensures that the main site remains fast. The only issue was that customers had to leave your main site to open a ticket.

Remote Portal fixes that. Your helpdesk can stay where it is and your customers can use the customer portal right on your main site. They can create tickets, reply and upload files there. Everything lands in your helpdesk under the correct customer.

PinkDocs Roadmap
Build Better Products with User Feedback ©PinkDocs

👋 New: PinkDocs Roadmap

With PinkDocs 2.1.0, you can finally give your WordPress documentation site its own built-in product roadmap. With PinkDocs Roadmap, it’s easy to share information about upcoming features and improvements, and show what’s planned, in progress, and completed.

You can also let users vote on features, allow your community to submit feature requests, and enable users to receive updates on roadmap items.

Multi Currency

👋 FluentCart 2.0: Multi Currency

During its birthday release week, the FluentCart team released dynamic pricing and an on-page checkout (for more details, see the E-Commerce section below). With version 2.0.0, they have introduced a new multi-currency feature.

This means that your customers can see prices, pay and receive emails in their own currency. You can set each exchange rate yourself. Nothing changes until you edit it. Every order remembers the rate at which it was sold, ensuring that renewals and refunds are always correct. Finally, reports can be run either per currency or in your base currency, and there is an accounting export for your VAT records.

VX Modules
The Working Parts for VX Framework ©VX Modules

👋 New: VX Modules

Donald from Code Wattz has just released VX Modules. On top of the VX Framework (developed by the creators of the Voxel theme), the module-based plugin adds the tools a real site needs, including front-end forms for posts, sign-ups, and logins, a spreadsheet for your posts, private messaging, paid memberships and much more. It works with VX Framework Free or Pro.

🗞️ Bites & Pieces

WordPress

With the new WordPress.com AI Website Builder, you can describe the site you want and the AI will create a first draft, including a layout, suggested images and starter content. You can then keep refining it using AI prompts or editing anything manually in the WordPress editor.

Meta Box 3.13.0 announces a new custom model field, which allows you to select items from your custom models directly through a field. The new model relationship object type lets you connect models to posts, terms, users and other models.

Etch Mega Menu Pro 1.3.0 introduces tabbed navigation and a tabbed hero. You can use the latter in two ways: as a hero section on a page or as a slim dropdown in your header that only shows the tabs until someone hovers over it. Take a look at the live demo to find out more.

SureForms 2.12.9 introduces abandoned form reminders for visitors and clearer warnings for failed notifications, as well as enabling one-click MCP Adapter setup.

You can display banners on your Astra site using Hooks, without the need for a plugin. This allows you to display banners when and where you want them, and they will disappear when they should.

Dancepad 2.3 adds 14 new elements for Breakdance, including a Gradient Slider, a Global Search, a World Map, a Globe, a Stairs Menu and a Pixel Trail.

With Kirki, you can now draw and edit vector shapes directly on the canvas and style your lists with the new Advanced Typography options.

Roobely is an actively maintained fork of the Qubely blocks plugin. The free version adds 29 advanced blocks to the WordPress block editor.

The new Popover element is built into Mosaic. You can style it like any other element, and open, close or toggle it from any interaction without blocking the page.

ACPT 2.1 is now officially live and introduces MCP integration, custom content types, a new canvas builder, a meta keys manager, Gutenberg block bindings, and more.

WordPress ❤️ AI

With PhantomStudio 1.0 Beta 1, you can replay the steps that the AI made to each edit and highlight them on the page and in the layers panel. There is also a visual builder with a layers panel, live preview and style panel next to the full code editor. The new Data tab brings all your data sources together in one place, and the Add to Page feature turns any of them into cards in just a couple of clicks.

Novamira HQ Beta 5 connects cPanel and WHM hosting accounts. This release also introduces Antigravity for configuring your AI. You can now save 10% with code AHOIDEV10.

Novamira Pro 1.12.0 introduces a new Read Mode. This is intended for sessions where an AI agent should only view a site, for example for an audit, a content inventory or to find out how the site is put together. When activated, an agent connected through Novamira can only perform read actions.

WordPress Audits

The Sitelemetry Audit plugin connects your website to the hosted Sitelemetry Audit service. You can easily run security, SEO, AI visibility, accessibility and performance audits from your WordPress dashboard.

E-Commerce, Donations & A/B Testing

FluentCart 1.9.0 introduces a new on-page checkout, allowing you to place the checkout directly on your landing page. Visitors can read, select items and pay all on the same page. You can sell one product, allow customers to select one option (such as a colour or plan), or enable them to build a small bundle, such as “pick any two”. The price updates live as they make their choices. Each landing page has its own cart, so nothing gets mixed up with their main cart.

AB Split Test 2.6.13 introduces CRO Learnings. Every completed test is recorded as a learning, detailing what changes were made, what happened, and how reliable the result is. With written lessons, each learning from a test with at least 100 visitors receives a short lesson in plain English explaining what happened, the likely reason, the principle behind it, and suggesting a test to try next. Your most recent learnings can be used to create two follow-up tests: one that builds on the result on the same page and one that tries it on a different page of your site.

Gratora is a new WordPress fundraising platform that competes with GiveWP and SureDonation.

WPSmartPay 3.3.5 introduces donation campaigns, enabling you to create campaigns with funding goals, public campaign pages and donor walls. There are also new donation form blocks, with added support for recurring gifts, custom giving frequencies, anonymous donations, comments and tributes. Pro 3.5.0 introduces donor wall moderation and notes. You can moderate comments on your donor wall, add private notes to donor profiles and toggle donor name visibility on or off. You can also export donations and contacts to CSV files and view donation history inside subscription records.

Phox Fluent Elements adds 50 elements for FluentCart in Breakdance and Oxygen 6. Also new: Phox Elements for Bricks.

Communities

Two Birds Code offers a native iOS and Android app for FluentCommunity. The feed, messaging, spaces, courses and profiles are all real native screens.

CRM

Bit CRM Pro 1.3.1 supports incoming webhooks. This means that other apps can now send data directly to Bit CRM to create or update leads, contacts, companies, deals or products, and trigger workflows.

Directories

Directorist introduces its first multi-builder-compatible WordPress theme. They have built dTour natively for Elementor, Gutenberg and Divi, so you can start with a complete travel directory and customize it to your liking without any hassle.

Laravel & Filament

With the release of Laravel AI SDK 1.1, your agents can now use Agent Skills and Cohere as chat providers. You can also now require approval before running built-in tools.

Redberry’s Synapse gives your Laravel AI SDK agents a chat playground in the browser. See every tool call, token count and error as they happen.

Filament releases upgrades to the Rich Editor and introduces Deferred Forms.

Web Development

Burrow Smart Routing is now generally available in Bunny Optimizer. If the direct path to your origin slows down, Burrow Smart Routing will find an alternative, faster route via the bunny dot net backbone. This results in faster dynamic requests, such as checkouts, API calls, and personalized responses. Traffic is only rerouted when there’s a meaningful speed improvement, and it switches back once the direct path recovers. Also new: Bunny CDN Load Balancer and Agent Readability in Bunny Optimizer.

AI Writer

The new Contentpen MCP Server allows you to connect any MCP-compatible assistant, such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or VS Code, to Contentpen and give it access to your entire content workflow.

Project Management

FluentBoards 2.2.0 introduces eight ready-made board templates. You can now also import FluentBoards export files without a Pro licence. Admins can allow members to connect their own AI tools using personal keys. Each member can create and revoke their own keys. This feature is off by default.

Events

Eventin releases two small floating widgets for your WordPress site: an Engagement Widget that plays a short video in a corner and a Contact Card that shows the organizer’s contact details.

EventKoi 1.4.7.0 adds four more field types in the Taxonomy Builder, including Google Maps embed, dropdown, checkbox and radio.

Server Management

xCloud 2.9.1 announces multiple backup destinations, allowing you to back up every site to two storage providers simultaneously, such as Backblaze B2 and Cloudflare R2. Each provider runs on its own schedule and retention policy, in addition to your local server backup.

Social Media

The FeedHive Claude connector is now available. Once connected, you can manage your social media accounts directly from your Claude chat. For example, you can turn ideas into posts and schedule them across all your channels, as well as ask how your posts are performing.

Email Marketing

With Mailercloud, simply enter your website address and they will pull in your logo, colours and fonts. This means that every new email and sign-up form matches your brand, with no need to upload anything again. In addition, you can now choose which contacts’ email opens are tracked, helping you to comply with GDPR and EU privacy rules. You can choose which of your contacts have their email opens tracked. Finally, when an email bounces or is marked as spam, they automatically add the address to your suppression list and stop sending emails to it.

Digital Signage

The Juuno MCP is now live! You can now do awesome things such as putting your Halloween promo on every screen from Friday to Sunday and then switching back, or turning your best Google reviews into slides for the front window.

From the Editor: Biff.codes

We’ve launched a new side project called Biff.codes, a free job board for WordPress developers and more. Find out why Biff can get paid in burgers. 🍔
