SEOPress Rolls Out Google Search Console Widgets
Benjamin from SEOPress has just announced the release of version 6.8 of their SEO plugin for WordPress, introducing Google Search Console widgets, OpenAI improvements, better automatic redirect suggestions, and more.
Google Search Console Widgets
With the fourth iteration of Google Search Console, SEOPress has added two new widgets to the SEO Dashboard. The first widget lists the five keywords that have generated the most traffic to your site and their positions according to a defined date range. The second shows the top five most clicked content from Google search results to your WordPress site.

Automatic Redirect Suggestions for Term Taxonomies
SEOPress notifies you every time a slug is edited or a post/page/type is deleted. You can then create a redirect with a single click. Previously only available for posts, it now also works for term taxonomies such as post categories, product categories and more.
Improved OpenAI Integration
SEOPress now passes the post language to OpenAI to improve results when generating meta titles and descriptions. When available, ChatGPT 4 will be integrated into the Pro version.
Bulk actions for Instant Indexing
With the new bulk actions, you no longer have to copy and paste URLs into the Instant Indexing text area to submit them to Google and Bing. It also handles duplicates automatically.
WP-CLI & Application Passwords
For developers, SEOPress has released application passwords for authentication with its REST API and a first set of WP-CLI commands. Using a terminal you can now export and import the global settings of SEOPress to/from a JSON file. The REST API will also soon provide contextual values for metadata.
In other news, SEOPress has removed GA3 (Universal Analytics) from the SEO plugin as it has been deprecated by Google and replaced by Google Analytics 4.
