SEOPress Improves Google Search Console Integration
The folks at SEOPress have just released version 6.6 of their SEO plugin for WordPress, which also powers our blog. They have introduced the third iteration of the Google Search Console integration, and improved both performance and UX.
Google Search Console
Since version 6.6, SEOPress allows you to change the date range of your data, which is set to three months by default.
Also, many users have been using a domain property to add their site to Google Search Console, causing a 403 error in SEOPress. So instead of using the dedicated filter, you can now simply check the “Domain property” option at SEO > PRO > Search Console.
Better Performance & UX
After refactoring the code base, SEOPress was able to improve the performance and reduce the size of the SEO plugin.
The universal SEO metabox is now faster than ever, all input fields have been expanded, and the beacon can now be moved when editing your content from the block editor.
What’s More?
In other news, SEOPress has improved compatibility with WPML, SiteGround Optimizer, WP Rocket, Toolset and WooCommerce. In addition, you can now block PetalBot and ChatGPT bots in SEO > PRO > robots.txt.
