SEOPress Adds WooCommerce Product Editor Compatibility

Benjamin from SEOPress has just announced the release of version 7.0 of their SEO plugin for WordPress, introducing compatibility with the new WooCommerce product editor and more.

Support for New WooCommerce Editor

The WooCommerce developers are still working on the new product editor, which is currently in beta. The new editor will no longer support metaboxes from third party extensions, as well as additions to the block editor sidebar. Thanks to SEOPress’ approach with the Universal SEO Metabox, the SEO plugin is already compatible.

Go to SEO > Advanced > Appearance > Metabox to enable the Universal SEO Metabox for the block editor.

OpenAI #7 Iteration

With the Pro version, you can now generate SEO metadata independently of the SEO Metabox. Just use one of the dedicated buttons to get started.

They have also added commands for WP-CLI, allowing developers to use AI to generate SEO metadata via the command line interface.

Google Analytics 4 Ecommerce

SEOPress Pro now allows you to track product views with GA4 Ecommerce. To enable this option, go to SEO > Analytics > Google Analytics > Ecommerce and check the “Measure product views” option.

In other news, you can now easily block ChatGPT bots with your robots.txt file. Also, metaboxes are finally responsive.
