SureCart Now Integrates With PayPal
Adam from SureCart has just announced the release of version 1.1, which features a new PayPal integration, a new admin dashboard, checkout messages, and more. This is the biggest update yet for the new free e-commerce platform for WordPress, which could be a real lightweight alternative to WooCommerce.
New PayPal Integration
In addition to Stripe, SureCart has added PayPal, eagerly awaited by many users, as a second payment gateway to the e-commerce platform. However, the integration currently only supports one-time purchases and not subscriptions. But we are sure that this will not be long in coming.
By the way, you can also connect SureCart to your PayPal Sandbox account for testing purposes.
New Admin Dashboard
SureCart has also released a beautiful, redesigned admin dashboard that can be accessed in your WP Admin.
At the top of the dashboard there are quick actions links for creating new products and customized checkout forms. Below that you will find filterable statistics on revenue, orders and average order value (AOV) as well as an overview of the latest orders.
New Checkout Messages
They have also further improved the checkout forms by adding customizable checkout messages.
This gives you the option of displaying custom loading messages if the payment process in the checkout should take a little longer than normal, including โSubmitting Orderโ, โProcessing Paymentโ, โConfirming Paymentโ, and โSuccess Textโ.
In this way, you prevent irritation among your customers as well as checkout abandonments or orders placed twice by mistake.
Whatโs More?
In other news, SureCart combined Invoices and Orders into Orders and introduced sequential order numbers which is a legal requirement for merchants based in the EU.
Due to popular demand, SureCart now also comes with a new option to permanently delete your test data.
Whatโs Next?
Later this week, SureCart will also add Stripeโs local payment methods such as iDEAL and bank transfers for example. They are also working on a Mollie integration and offline payment support. In addition, they will also add integrations for LearnDash Groups, LifterLMS, Paid Memberships Pro, Razorpay, Mercado Pago, Thrive Automator, and many others.
Finally, Adam gave a sneak peek into the new powerful SureTriggers automation platform and SureMembers, the new content restriction plugin for WordPress that comes with a drip content feature. Stay tuned!
