In the course settings menu you will now find two brand new Course Completion Process settings called Flexible and Strict mode. The strict mode forces students to complete all lessons and pass all quizzes to complete a particular course. Flexible mode does not force them to do so. Here the enrolled students can mark a course as completed at any time, regardless of whether they have actually completed all lessons.

Quiz Validation
Required Answer

With the latest update every quiz type now supports validation. Therefore, you can now prevent an enrolled student from moving on to the next step of a quiz without answering the questions. You should make sure that there are no workarounds to properly complete a course.

However, quiz validation is only possible if the course instructor has set the quiz questions as required.
