Voxel Introduces Claim & Promoted Listings

Arian from Voxel has just announced two new monetization methods for WordPress business directory sites, including a Claim Listing and Promoted Listing feature. Beta 4 is the last beta before the official launch of Voxel 1.4.

Claim Listing

The new Claim Listing / Post feature allows business owners to take ownership of their listing on your directory site. When someone claims a listing, you can verify that the person attempting to claim the listing is authorized to manage the listing. This is done by uploading the appropriate files. Proof of ownership can be made mandatory, optional, or completely disabled.

Claiming a listing can be free or paid for and may also require a membership plan.

By default, all Voxel listings have a priority of 0. The priority level can affect the ranking of that listing in search results and can also be used to feature listings.

You can also use Custom Orders to create custom orders that are ranked first by priority and then by rating. The priority of a listing can be changed either manually in the backend or through paid promotion packages in the frontend.

Voxel has also introduced a dynamic priority tag that outputs the current listing priority and can also be used to display a badge if the priority matches certain numbers.
