WP Rocket Improves LCP & PageSpeed Score

WP Rocket 3.16 has just arrived in orbit. The latest version of the popular WordPress caching plugin focuses on automatically optimizing the LCP element and images above the fold by excluding them from lazy loading.

New Features

WP Rocket 3.16 automatically detects, prioritizes and auto-optimizes critical images (there are no settings!) by automatically excluding them from lazy loading. Critical images are all images above the fold, including the Largest Contentful Paint one.

As WP Rocket has evolved into a performance plugin that goes far beyond caching, the Cache tab has been removed entirely in version 3.16. The reason for this is quite simple. The WP Rocket team wants to make the plugin as simple as possible by reducing the number of configuration options and focusing on the options that improve load time, PageSpeed and Core Web Vitals scores.

So where is everything? The Mobile Cache and Separate cache files for mobile devices options are now automatically enabled. The Cache Lifespan option has been moved to the top of the Advanced Rules section and the User Cache option has been moved to the One-Click Rocket Add-ons section.

Get WP Rocket 3.16 to tackle crucial performance optimization on your WordPress site.
