WP Social Ninja Adds Support for Video Testimonials

Jewel from WP Social Ninja has just added video testimonials, review search and filter options, as well as review categories to its WordPress social media plugin.

New Features

Let’s take a look at what’s new in WP Social Ninja 4.4.0:

• Review Search & Filter (Pro): Visitors can search the review feed as they type, re-sort it and filter it by an exact star rating. This feature is off by default.
• Video Testimonials (Pro): You can attach a clip to any testimonial from a YouTube or Vimeo link, a file URL, or an uploaded file. It plays in place and only loads when a video is actually there.
• New Feed Templates: There are new layouts for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube, as well as a minimal header for all four. Instead of “Template 1 to 5”, templates now have names that describe the layout.
• Review Categories: You can now use reusable labels across your entire library. Group them by product, service, location or campaign, assign them in bulk and view the number in each category.
• FluentPlayer for YouTube Feeds: With WP Social Media, you can now play videos through FluentPlayer and use its layered player design to position your call to action or email capture over the top of the video.

If you use Tripadvisor reviews, your legacy API keys will stop working on 31 August 2026, as Tripadvisor has moved to its Terra platform. However, WP Social Ninja 4.4.0 is compatible with the new platform. Create a key on the new developer platform and save it in your Tripadvisor settings. The plugin detects which API your key belongs to, so you don’t need to select a version.
