AB Split Test Introduces Fingerprint Conversions

Tom from AB Split Test has just introduced fingerprint conversions and an SEO upgrade for their WordPress split testing and conversion optimization plugin.

Fingerprint Conversions

Now that Chrome blocks remote cookies, we still need a way to track conversions on external sites. The new fingerprinting conversion type allows you to track conversions across different sites by using JavaScript to create a unique ID for each visitor that is the same across all websites. This is particularly useful if you need to track user actions on external sites and attribute them to the correct variant of your test.

This way, you can easily track a user across any website, whether it’s an embedded HubSpot form or your Shopify store on a different domain.

SEO Upgrade

Full page split tests can cause duplicate content issues with Google if not set up correctly. Previously, AB Split Test recommended adding a canonical URL from your test variations pointing to the default page. Good news, this is now built in as of version 1.7.7.
