Ploi Releases ‘The Site Commands Update’
Following The Forgejo Update, the Ploi team has just rolled out the so-called ‘Site Commands Update’ to its user-friendly server management tool.
New Features
In the past, running php artisan migrate on a site meant opening an SSH session, switching to the site’s user, locating the correct directory and hoping that the version of PHP was compatible with the site. As of today, however, every site has a Commands tab.
Type a command and press Enter. Ploi then runs the command as the site’s system user in the site’s directory and streams the output to your browser. PHP and Composer use the same PHP version as the site itself, so Composer install also uses this version.
Each run is logged in the site’s history alongside its output, who ran it, and how long it took. Your team shares that history, so you can see who cleared the cache at 3am. The history stores the last 50 runs per site. You can search it, rerun a command with one click, and delete runs that you don’t want to keep.
Did a command hang or start something you didn’t mean to? Click Stop. Ploi will then end the command and every process it started.
Site commands are included in the Ploi Basic, Pro, and Unlimited plans.
