Advanced Ads Introduces ads.txt Support

Last Friday, Thomas of Advanced Ads published version 1.13 of his fantastic WordPress ad management plugin. One of the highlights is the brand new ads.txt feature, which helps you to create ads.txt automatically.

Check Out Advanced Ads (Pro) »

ads.txt Support

You can find the new ads.txt feature in your WordPress dashboard under Advanced Ads > Settings > General > ads.txt.

When you’ve added your publisher ID in the AdSense settings in Advanced Ads, the ads.txt will be created automatically with the right information.

If you are using another solution to create an ads.txt then it will not be overridden by Advanced Ads. You can double check by calling the URL to your ads.txt file.

Prevent Google Anchor Ads At The Top Of The Page

The latest release also comes with a new option to disable Google anchor ads being injected automatically at the top of your WordPress page. Top anchor ads are part of AdSense Auto ads by default and can be prevented now through Advanced Ads.

You can find this option in Advanced Ads > Settings > AdSense.

WP Fastest Cache: Clear Minification Cache

If you are using script minification features like the appropriate option in WP Fastest Cache, then make sure that you update that cache after you update plugins. They had a few issues after their last Advanced Ads Pro update, which stopped showing ads because the minification files were outdated.

Translating Advanced Ads

Advanced Ads has now been translated into 14 languages. However, there are still quite a few languages left. You can contribute translations for single strings or get a free All Access license for translating the whole plugin on this page.

He also made some minor changes to the notification feature introduced with Advanced Ads 1.12. It should load faster and is more secure.

Advanced Ads Pro can be purchased from as low as €39 for a Single Site license. However, there is also a free version available which comes with limited features. The All Access Pass and All Access Pass Long Term plans get you access to both existing and future paid add-ons.
