AffiliateWP: New Terms of Use Generator, Email Summaries & LearnDash Integration

AffiliateWP just introduced a new Terms of Use generator, monthly email summaries and a new LearnDash integration to their popular affiliate marketing plugin for WordPress. In addition, they simplified the management of add-ons.

New Features

AffiliateWP 2.9.6 made it much easier to set up an affiliate program on your WordPress site, protect your brand with a Terms of Use policy or Terms & Conditions, and manage your affiliates.

New Terms of Use Generator

One of the biggest annoyances for operators of affiliate programs is probably affiliate fraud. A classic example is self-referrals, i.e. these “affiliate partners” try to get a commission for their own purchases.

The first line of defence here are therefore clear, watertight Terms of Use. With the new generator, you can now easily create these without having to consult a lawyer. All you have to do is enter your company name and AffiliateWP will do the rest.

Better Management of Add-ons

Previously, you had to go into your AffiliateWP account and download the individual add-ons first, then manually upload and activate them on your WordPress site. While this wasn’t difficult, it was quite tedious and boring for many add-ons.

This whole process has now been streamlined and can now be easily done from the addons page.

All you have to do now is click on “Install Add-on” to have it downloaded, installed and activated, e.g. Vanity Coupon Codes, Affiliate Portal, Lifetime Commissions or Custom Affiliate Slugs. You can also deactivate add-ons just as easily.

Monthly Email Summaries

For affiliate managers, AffiliateWP has also introduced another way to track the performance of your affiliate program alongside real-time analytics. With monthly email summaries, you get a snapshot straight to your inbox. Old school, but very convenient!

This gives you an overview of various metrics including revenue, new affiliates, unpaid and paid earnings for the last 30 days.

In version 2.9.7, AffiliateWP also added monthly email summaries for affiliates which contain the following data:

  • Earnings
  • Referrals
  • Visits
  • Conversion rate
  • Top 10 converting URLs

It’s a great way to highlight your affiliate program opportunities and increase affiliate engagement.

New LearnDash Integration

With the new LearnDash integration, you can add affiliate link tracking to your online courses and set commissions. You can finally track referrals via EDD for LearnDash, WooCommerce for LearnDash, Stripe for LearnDash, and Stripe Connect plugins.
