Linode Acquisition

The marriage of Linodeโ€™s compute and storage products with Akamaiโ€™s serverless, CDN, and security solutions, will give customers a broader range of services to build, modernize, and scale the next generation of applications.

Christopher Aker, CEO of Linode

This acquisition is not about Linode shifting away from small businesses and targeting enterprises instead. Rather the opposite: Akamai and Linode can help more developers build more applications of all shapes and sizes.

Check out the benefits:

  • A better solution for developers & businesses
  • A better cloud infrastructure and platform service
  • The most distributed cloud to edge compute platform in the world

For the foreseeable future, the Linode team will continue to operate just as they have always done. Business as usual!
