Incremental backup is a type of data backup that only saves changes made since the last backup, whether it was a full or incremental backup. This dramatically reduces the time and bandwidth required for regular backups, as only data that has changed or been added since the last backup is backed up.

Check out the benefits:

  • Efficient Use of Resources:
By backing up only changed data, incremental backups reduce storage requirements and shorten backup windows. This results in cost savings and more efficient use of system resources.
  • Minimized Network Impact:
Since only changes are backed up, this new feature can help reduce network load and improve system performance.

Incremental backups are included in all plans. Start your BackupSheep trial today!

Changes to Storage Duration

From 1st October 2023 all backups using BackupSheep Storage will be retained for a maximum of 90 days. So, any backups older than 90 days will be automatically deleted from their system. This is being done to optimize their storage infrastructure and continue to offer efficient and effective backup services.

Note that the 90-day policy does not apply to backups stored on your connected storage accounts.
