BuddyBoss App Blocks 2.0

Let’s take a closer look at what’s new in the BuddyBoss App 3.1.0:

  • Image Carousel: You can add a swipeable row of image cards to any app page. Build each card manually with an image, heading, body copy and destination link, or switch to dynamic mode to pull content automatically from a post type. This is best used for featured courses, the latest updates, or any other content where visual variety encourages members to keep scrolling.
  • Video Carousel: It has the same layout and settings as the Image Carousel, but is built for video. Either add a YouTube or Vimeo link or upload your video directly, then add a custom thumbnail. Members can tap to play videos in full-screen mode inside the app. Use it to showcase course previews, tutorials or member highlights.
  • Icons Block: A swipeable row of up to 10 icon-based navigation links, each with an image, a label and a destination. There is no body text by design. This block is designed for quick navigation. Point it at your groups, courses, or any other key section of the app.
  • Profile Card: A personalized welcome block greets members by name and displays their profile photo. Switch to ‘Profile Complete’ mode to display a checklist of items to finish. Once a member has completed their profile, the card disappears automatically. It’s the kind of detail that makes the onboarding process feel intentional.

App Pages is becoming a native page builder for the BuddyBoss App. Above four blocks are the next step towards giving you full control over what your members see when they open the app. The more dynamic your home screen is, the more reasons your members will have to come back.
