LifterLMS: New Manager & Instructor Roles + Improved Drag & Drop Course Builder
Due to popular demand for a more advanced teacher role, new instructor and instructor assistant roles have just been added to the free core LifterLMS plugin. Also, there is a new LMS Manager role and an improved course builder.
LMS Manager & Instructor Roles
LifterLMS now has three new “user types” or “roles” that you can use for your WordPress-based online learning platform:
- Instructor:Can create & manage courses and view the reporting for their own courses
- Instructor’s Assistant: Similar to instructor roles but without the capability of creating new courses and deleting classes
- LMS Manager: Think of them as WordPress admins, but with full access to the LifterLMS sections only
These new roles can take your LMS to the next level. You can now define the leadership roles in your courses, run multi-instructor platforms, and enable instructor specific reporting.
Improved Course Builder
The LifterLMS is always listening to the needs of their customers and community. Therefore, they have improved the drag & drop course builder. Now it is possible to collapse sections for a much easier navigation. This comes in quite handy especially for courses with loads of lessons.
