MainWP v5 – The Next Evolution in WordPress Management
Dennis from MainWP has just announced the official release date for the much-anticipated version 5 of the WordPress management plugin, introducing new modules and extensions.
MainWP v5
The release is a double reason to celebrate, as it coincides with the 10th anniversary of MainWP on 27 February. Let’s dive into the new features:
- New Time Tracker Extension:
The extension makes tracking the time spent on each of your projects a simple click away, directly from your MainWP dashboard (see teaser video in The Pier #32). - New Cost Tracker Module:
With the customizable Cost Tracker module, you can easily track the cost of each item, renewal dates, number of sites using it, and cost per site/client. You can also track any subscription and expense such as hosting or third-party services (see teaser video in The Pier #33).
- New Dashboard Insights Module:
Easily turn your dashboard into a powerful analytics hub, providing real-time, comprehensive insight into the MainWP usage and the statistics of connected child sites. - MainWP API Backups:
A year ago MainWP introduced the API Backups as a beta extension. With v5, it is now a core component of the MainWP Dashboard, available to all users. It supports various hosting control panels including GridPane, Cloudways, DigitalOcean, Vultr, Akamai, cPanel and Plesk (WP Toolkit).
Finally, MainWP v5 comes with a refreshed, more intuitive and user-friendly user interface with modern accents, improved readability, optimized layouts and streamlined navigation.
