Meta Box Releases New Icon Field Type
Due to popular demand, the Meta Box team has just announced the release of a new icon field type for their custom fields plugin for WordPress.
New Icon Field
The new Icon field type is available with Meta Box version 5.9.0. You can now select an icon from a predefined icon library, store it in the field, and display it on the frontend as a normal stored value in other field types.
You can choose from the following options:
- Font Awesome Free (built-in),
- Font Awesome Pro,
- Any icon font, such as Line Awesome or Boxicons, or the one that comes with your theme for instance, or
- Your own custom icon library such as Streamline Icons for example.
You can also create an icon field using code without the Meta Box Builder extension, or using the UI provided by Meta Box Builder.
