Curated blog with news, events, jobs and exciting stories about web design & web development.
Until now, Newsletter Glue has served newsletter publishers of all sizes – from solo bloggers to large newsrooms with millions of subscribers. In 2023, however, the WordPress newsletter plugin will focus solely on serving newsrooms and media companies.
Newsrooms & Media Companies
The decision to focus on key accounts was made because it has become difficult to reconcile the requirements and needs of all types of customers.
The team was in a dichotomy regarding the product decisions to be made. For example, “should they add SMTP options like Mailgun to make newsletters as cheap as possible for solo creators or should they add Hubspot/Pardot integrations for large companies?”
According to Lesley from Newsletter Glue, serving all different types of clients would have resulted in an average plugin, support and service for all. This is clearly very good news for newsrooms and media companies. However, this announcement indicates that the needs of small existing customers will not play a major role in the future.
Similar to their previous Newsroom tier, Newsletter Glue now charges $120 per month per WordPress site, billed annually. The Pro plan also included all features of the newsletter plugin.
The new Enterprise and Agencies plans offers custom, bespoke pricing packages and licenses.
As a result, they have removed the existing Writer and Publisher plans, which were only introduced in February 2022.
Good news: There are no changes for existing customers, as pricing and subscription remain the same. The Newsletter Glue plugin will continue to work and you will receive all the latest feature updates and support.
