Pier #39 – Woo, Sessions, ACPT 2.0, Partnero, Reverb & OneStream Live

Ahoi.dev

Hi there,

Welcome to the 39th issue of The Pier. This week, WooCommerce has informed subscribers of a major price increase for some of their key extensions. For example, Woo Subscriptions has been increased to $279 per year per site. If you are affected by this increase, you may want to take a look at SureCart, which we use here at Ahoi.dev.

Sessions has redesigned the event flow. After registering, attendees can now enter the event lobby and wait for the event to start. (Co-)Hosts and speakers can also join the lobby and start the event or backstage from the lobby. A new private event access type has also been introduced. This means that only guests who have been invited with their email address in the Participants section can join the event. They don’t have to register, but they have to click on the link in the email to join the event.

Here is a selection of the latest and greatest blog posts we published this week on Ahoi.dev. You will also find some interesting industry news, the latest directory listings on The Port, job openings, and deals. Enjoy!

🤙 Next Week: ACPT 2.0

ACPT 2.0 will be officially released next week. The custom post type plugin for WordPress comes with a completely redesigned UI, meta groups, new Gutenberg blocks for basic, repeater and relational fields and a new form manager. The relationship field has been completely rethought, allowing you to relate not only posts, but also taxonomies, users and pages.
