Nifty Introduces Lists, Cascading Dependencies & Calendly Integration
Nifty has just released version 3.5 of its project management platform, introducing Lists, Recurring v2, CNAME v2, Cascading Dependencies, a new Calendly integration and more.
New Features
- Lists:
Lists bridge the gap between milestones and group relevant tasks together for better organization. They exist alongside milestones in your task board and can be easily shared on your roadmap for visual tracking. - Recurring v2:
Nifty’s Recurring feature has been massively upgraded with much more flexibility and control. You can set relative start and due dates for your recurring tasks outside of the recurring date. You can also choose which information from a task or milestone to recur with advanced options. Nifty will also show you the upcoming recurring schedule of the task so that you can verify that the parameters you have set will work as intended. Finally, they have also added a set of pre-defined recurring parameters, including First Monday of each month, Every Friday, and First day of every quarter. - CNAME v2:
Nifty’s all new CNAME now supports easy setup of your own domain through simple DNS configuration and does not require a CloudFront or NGINX server to implement.
- Cascading Dependencies:
Changing task due dates will now automatically update other tasks that are linked via a dependency. Moving a task’s due date into the future will move all dependent task start and due dates (or part of a dependency chain) by the same number of days. Similarly, moving a task’s due date forward will move all tasks before it by the same number of days. Remember to enable auto-mode in your roadmap if you want your milestones to adjust accordingly. - Swimlane View Updates:
They have enhanced the Swimlane view with additional sorting and grouping features. This allows you to define what additional information you want to see on your task cards, as well as the ability to group your tasks by assignees, tags, status and due date – and even rearrange the status lists. - New Calendly Integration:
Now you can turn your Calendly events into Nifty tasks to better track and manage your leads, bookings and work schedule. You can now have all your meetings, work and events in one place.
In other news, Nifty has rebuilt the Zapier integration and Imports from the ground up, and added a new option for customizable portfolio and project order. Finally, you can now add custom redirect URLs for form submissions instead of the default Nifty thank you screen.
