Pixelmator Pro Now Comes With Incredible Photos Extension

The Pixelmator team just announced the arrival of Pixelmator Pro 1.4 Hummingbird. The new updated version adds an incredibly powerful new Pixelmator Pro extension for the Photos app, includes an all-new Zoom tool, an improved Crop tool, and a whole lot more.

• Photos Editing Extension
  It’s the entire, fully-featured Pixelmator Pro app inside Photos including RAW support, layer-based editing, and the ability to save layers and adjustments directly to your Photos library.
• Zoom & Crop Tools
  The brand new Zoom tool comes with a beautiful navigator to help move around images while zoomed in as well as some handy commands. The drastically redesigned Crop tool now includes a new Delete mode, redesigned crop presets, and the ability to crop to custom sizes. In addition, the new Delete mode allows you to permanently crop away unwanted image areas. Also, the presets have been moved from the Presets bar into the Tool Options pane to free up more space for editing. By the way, the Slice tool along with the Paint and Erase tools have been refreshed too.
• More Goodies
  They’ve also added a wide range of additional improvements. For instance, you are now able to insert layered files right into existing Pixelmator Pro documents. The template chooser now comes with a range of image size templates for iPhone, Mac, and Apple Watch devices. Finally, they have significantly improved the performance for documents with many layers.

This major update is free for existing Pixelmator Pro users.
