At the beginning of September, Pressable began migrating existing sites over to their new servers which utilize NVMe SSD storage. Good news: As of September 30, they’re finally finished with their server migration.
These new servers will help Pressable continue to be one of the places where WordPress works best. Their team worked around the clock to ensure a speedy transition. Due to the complexity of this massive undertaking, some features that they are currently offering may not be available to all customers immediately.
As of this time, their main goals are:
- Make improvements to the tools that we have available for customers.
- Add PHP version switching for upcoming PHP version updates. All new sites will be deployed with PHP 7.3.
- Clean up internally, to improve performance and stability of the MyPressable control panel.
We’re pretty sure that any short-term inconveniences will be worth the long-term improvements this new server architecture will provide. They’ve already received a ton of positive feedback about how well people’s sites are performing on the new servers. When are you moving your WordPress sites to Pressable?
