Rank Math Adds Free HTML Sitemaps & TOC Block

Rank Math has just added another highly requested feature to their SEO plugin for WordPress. Say hello to HTML sitemaps, available in the free version. They have also released a brand new Table of Contents block.

Free HTML Sitemaps

Rank Math makes it very easy to create an SEO-friendly HTML sitemap for your WordPress website. It is a central list of all your pages, posts, custom post types, and more with the corresponding links that helps search engines to better understand and organise your website when they crawl your page. This not only increases search engine visibility, but also overall link popularity.

You can enable the sitemap module at Rank Math > Dashboard > Modules. Once done, you can enable your sitemap at Rank Math > Sitemap Settings > HTML Sitemap.

The only thing left to do is to configure the sitemap options:

  • Display format: Display the HTML sitemap via a shortcode or by selecting a page.
  • Sort by options: Specify whether the items are to be sorted by Published Date, Modified Date, Alphabetical, or Post ID.
  • Show dates: Show/hide published date for each post or page.
  • Item titles: Specify whether you want to display item titles or SEO titles.

Finally, you can select custom post types (CPT) and taxonomies to include in your Rank Math HTML sitemap.

Table of Contents Block

Rank Math‘s new Table of Contents block for Gutenberg is now available to all. It improves the reading experience and increases search engine rankings.
