Sales Tax

Whether you sell goods offline or online, if you trade commercially, you will inevitably have to deal with the issue of taxes. The new tax calculations developed by SamCart ensure that your company complies with the constantly changing regulations.

However, the question arises which tax rate to use for which customers. Fortunately, SamCart takes the complexity out of trying to determine the tax rate you are responsible for. It just takes two simple steps:

• Enter your marketplace address and VAT ID (if applicable) into the SamCart settings
• Select the products for which you wish to charge sales tax

SamCart then automatically finds the correct tax rates for each customer and charges the sales tax accordingly – even for customers in the European Union (EU). A detailed tax report will show you all your orders where taxes were incurred and a detailed breakdown of all applicable taxes.
