Shopify: Multilingual Admin & Automated Abandoned Checkout Emails

In the last couple of months, Shopify released various new interesting feature updates and announcements for their ecosystem, including a multilingual admin.

Back in May, Shopify launched a beta allowing online merchants to manage store core features in the following six additional languages: French, German, Japanese, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, and Spanish.

This is really good news for non-English store operators. However, a native solution for a multilingual storefront without the need of third-party apps such as Langify is desperately needed by the community.

Automated Abandoned Checkout Emails

Abandoned checkout emails can really help to recover lost sales with literally no efforts. Especially, as these reminders are sent automatically to prospective customer who have abondened their checkout after providing contact details.

In the past, automated abandoned checkout emails were only available on advanced plans. Merchants on Basic plans could only send reminders manually or via a third party app. Well, not anymore!

In addition, they recently introduced the new Shopify Developer Tools. Basically, it’s a macOS app that helps you with some of the most common tasks associated with developing for Shopify, e.g. viewing the Polaris style guide.
