About three months ago, Shopify announced that Shopify Payments is available for merchants based in Germany. Since then, selected German stores have been testing Klarna’s Pay Later option as a new payment method. Now, they’ve published some other good news.

With Shopify Payments, German merchants can already accept both credit cards and Sofortüberweisungen. As of December 2018, Pay Later by Klarna aka Klarna Rechnung is officially be open to the public. German merchants are also able to allow their customers to make payments via this easy-to-use payment method.

It offers merchants security with guaranteed payouts and without the risk of chargebacks or disputes. They can also take advantage of conversion rate and basket size increases while offering their customers a simple checkout experience with interest-free payment options.

With no hidden fees, merchants can benefit from low processing fees. For this new payment method, fees are the same across all Shopify plans: 2,99 % + €0,35.
