SureCart: New Order Spam Protection & Per Customer Purchase Restrictions
Looking at the 30+ new features and improvements to SureCart, Adam and his team had a really busy September. When you think of order spam protection, per customer purchase restrictions, subscription renewal reminders, and more, it was really worth it, wasn’t it?
New Features
Below, we’ll take a look at the new highlights of the powerful WordPress ecommerce platform, an amazing WooCommerce alternative.
- Order Spam Protection:
Spam orders are usually a massive problem of e-commerce. SureCart comes with two spam protection options, including Honeypot and reCAPTCHA v3. In addition, they proactively monitor your orders with a rate limiting feature. If there are significantly more orders than usual, e.g. 100 orders per minute compared to an average of 100 orders per day, they will send an email notification to you and rate limit that down. - Per Customer Purchase Restrictions:
You can now limit the number of purchases a single customer can make, for example, for subscriptions, memberships, or products with limited stock. - Subscription Renewal Reminders:
Once this feature is enabled, you can send a customizable email to customers when their subscriptions are renewed.
- New Integrations:
SureCart now also supports LifterLMS and Thrive Automator. - New Elementor Module:
In addition, SureCart introduced a native Elementor module that allows you to add a checkout form to your site with ease. So you no longer need to use a shortcode. - Donation Button Labels:
You can now add text to donation button labels, such as “Buy me a cup of coffee”. Previously, you could only add the donation amount along with a currency symbol. - Dark Mode:
You can now also enable a new dark mode for checkout forms and the customer area. - Login Changes:
In addition, some important changes have been made to the login process. If no password field has been added to the checkout form, new customers will now be logged in automatically and can set a password in their customer dashboard at a later time. By the way, SureCart also supports magic logins aka magic links.
What’s next for SureCart? While it’s only targeted digital product sales so far, they’re planning a big push into physical product pages, store pages, and more.
