SureDash – The New Lightweight Community Plugin for WordPress

TL;DR: SureDash has not yet been officially released! An alpha version will be is available since Thursday, November 28, at 11:59 am PST. This post will be updated regularly with new details about the upcoming community plugin for WordPress as we learn about it.

Adam from SureDash will soon launch their brand new, lightweight and highly anticipated community plugin for WordPress. It is being developed by Brainstorm Force, the same team responsible for such great plugins as SureCart, SureMembers, SureTriggers, SureForms, and more.

SureDash is a comprehensive solution for delivering value to your members through content, courses, community, events and a resource library – all within a single, unified user interface.

Features

It is a fully customizable community plugin that sticks close to the WordPress core to ensure all the its capabilities such as custom fields, hooks, filters, scheduling tools, as well as third party plugins, and more are fully supported.

Not to be forgotten: Unlike SaaS solutions such as Circle, Bettermode and Mighty Networks, you are not locked in and benefit from full data ownership.

For starters, it comes with a course builder, (private) discussions, interactions, and notifications. Soon to be added are events, leaderboards, bagdes, and more.

Unlike the resource-heavy BuddyBoss, SureDash has also been developed with top performance in mind, using the Interactivity API.

Combined with SureMembers, it is a match made in heaven. The membership plugin allows you to granularly control access to spaces, groups and content, set up drip content schedules and make spaces public or private.

Presto Player can be used for online courses, dramatically improving the video experience for members and students. Soon, there will be an integration with SureTriggers, Zapier and webhooks.

Alpha Version

As SureDash is launching in Alpha, it’s still being fine-tuned and is not yet ready for production websites. Over the next 3 months they will be releasing new features every few weeks and gathering feedback from early adopters to build SureDash into the “ultimate community platform”.

By the way, WPManageNinja has also just released their Vue.js powered community plugin called FluentCommunity. There seems to be movement in the market for WordPress community plugins, which has been dominated for many years by BuddyPress, BuddyBoss and PeepSo.
