After the successful launch of the iStock image subscriptions Essentials and Signature, iStock are planning to introduce substantial changes to their on-demand and single image business as well. The bottom line is that from September 13, 2014 iStock will be getting simpler, more affordable and better than ever. Great news, isn’t it?

Check out the upcoming changes:

• Simplified pricing: The same price for all file sizes and credits as the only payment method.
  • 1 New credit = 1 Essentials image, vector or audio file
  • 3 New credits = 1 Signature image, vector or audio file
  • 6 New credits = 1 Essentials video file
  • 18 New credits = 1 Signature video file
• New iStock credit packs: Get just the photos, videos and vectors you need for your project
• Division of the iStock collection into two quality tiers:
  1. Essentials (standard): Files for everyday use
  2. Signature (premium): Now including the premium Vetta™ Collection

By the way, there is no need to panic if you have “old” credits left: They will be converted at a 5:1 conversion rate, but always rounded up in your favour.
