WP Rocket Introduces One-Click Font Preloading

WP Rocket 3.19 has just arrived in orbit. The latest version of the popular WordPress caching plugin delivers an even better user experience and improved performance.

• Preload Fonts in One Click:
  WP Rocket now automatically detects which fonts are used above the fold on each page, prioritizing them for both mobile and desktop. It then preloads only these relevant fonts, resulting in more precise and efficient optimization.
• Pre-Connect to External Domains:
  Pre-connecting to external domains is a powerful optimization technique that has a positive impact on resource loading. Preconnect solves this problem by informing the browser in advance which connections will be required. This enables the browser to establish these connections in advance, thereby reducing the time taken to load external resources when required.

Finally, the new Preconnect to External Domains feature by WP Rocket adds to the existing automated features, such as Page Caching, Automatic Lazy Rendering and Critical Image Optimization. Note that they don’t have a user interface – they just work.
