How To Easily Create Online Donation Forms For Nonprofits

In the current difficult situation, many things no longer work as they used to. People have to live with – sometimes serious – cutbacks. No matter if it is about work or private life. Nothing is as it once was before the pandemic. The same applies to non-profit organizations (NPO). Hospitals, schools, associations, churches and even zoos have to find new ways. One way to at least partially compensate for the dramatic drop in sales is to give people the opportunity to donate money online. Luckily, WPForms took the pain out of creating donation forms and made it easy.

Online Donation Forms

You first need to install the WPForms plugin along with the Conditional Logic add-on and the PayPal add-on or the Stripe add-on for accepting recurring payments. The last two add-ons are available with Pro and Elite plans.

Then you have two options for getting started. You can either start with a blank form from scratch or use the pre-built WPForms donation form template. You can then easily customize your donation forms by using the easy-to-use WPForms drag & drop form builder. It probably makes sense to use a Multiple Items form field with pre-defined donation amount options along with a field for users to donate a custom amount.

Finally, you should also integrate your form with an email marketing service such as MailChimp, Drip, Constant Contact, AWeber, or Campaign Monitor for instance. This way you can easily keep in touch with your donors.
