AB Split Test Rolls Out Free Version & Device Targeting

Tom from AB Split Test has just released a free version of the WordPress split testing plugin. The plugin now includes device size targeting and an improved page selector.

AB Split Test Free

You can now download a free version of AB Split Test to try out on your own WordPress site. As with all free versions, it’s a bit limited. You can run one active AB test with one test variation. There is no AI, webhooks or analytics integration such as Google Analytics 4, Plausible, Usermaven, Umami and Matomo Analytics enabled.

New Device Targeting

In version 1.6, you can now run AB tests on any combination of small, medium or large screens, including desktop, tablet and mobile devices.

Improved Page Selector

The previous page selector struggled on WordPress sites with more than 200 posts. They have updated to an AJAX based selector that works on sites of any size!

What’s Next?

The next big AB Split Test update will enable full page split testing across domains, so you can test between your WordPress site and another external site such as a landing page builder.
