We recently published a post that MailerLite has been acquired by Vercom. And the consolidation continues! Postmark and DMARC Digests have just announced that they have been acquired by ActiveCampaign, the popular email marketing, marketing automation, and CRM platform.
Acquisitions are usually always accompanied by questions, especially from existing customers. The good news up front is that Postmark and DMARC Digests will continue to be available as standalone products. Developers will continue to use Postmark via API or SMTP and will not need an ActiveCampaign account.
What does this mean for Postmark customers?
- Will Postmark’s pricing change? No.
- Will Postmark continue to be available as a standalone product or will they integrate into ActiveCampaign? The answer to both questions is yes.
- Will the team change? The entire Postmark team has been offered and accepted a position with ActiveCampaign.
They will also work closely with the ActiveCampaign team to integrate Postmark features into the ActiveCampaign product. This includes, for example, the ability to design and send transactional emails from within an automation. ActiveCampaign customers can thus use Postmark without having to use two separate applications.
