Groundhogg Adds New Unsubscribe Features

Adrian from Groundhogg has just released version 3.4 of its marketing automation and CRM plugin for WordPress, introducing new unsubscribe features.

The Groundhogg team has completely revamped the preferences center and changed the way contacts unsubscribe. Unsubscribing is still easy, but now you can collect information about why they are unsubscribing.

During the unsubscribe process, contacts have the opportunity to provide the reason they’re unsubscribing, as well as some written feedback. This will hopefully help you send better emails and be more in tune with your audience.

The feedback will be available in multiple places:

  • Unsubscribe events are displayed in the contact activity timeline.
  • You can toggle the Unsubscribe Date, Unsubscribe Reason and Unsubscribe Feedback columns in the Contacts list.
  • There is a new ‘Unsubscribe Reasons’ graph in the contacts report screen.
  • You can filter the contact list by unsubscribe reason using the unsubscribe filter.

Support for UTM Parameters

You can now specify UTM parameters that will apply to all the site links in your email.
In the Email Editor, navigate to the Advanced tab and open the UTM Parameters panel.

From here you can specify all your UTM parameters, including source, campaign, term, medium and content.

Archive Pages for Broadcasts

With the introduction of the Campaign Management screen in Groundhogg 3.4, you now have the option to make campaign archives public, which can then be shared on social media or sent as a direct link without the need for the recipient to be a subscriber.

Public campaign archives will list all the broadcasts sent in relation to that campaign. Funnels and email templates are not included and campaigns are hidden by default. There is a Campaign History screen which displays a list of all public campaigns. Broadcasts not associated with a public campaign are not accessible via the archives.
