Rockbase Adds New Header & Promo Bars

As mentioned in The Pier #41, we recently came across Rockbase, a lightweight block-based WordPress theme for creative professionals. Chris and Rafal have just released the first update, introducing promo bars and a new header style. Just before the launch offer expired, we bought a licence for our next project.

New Promo Bars

The new promo bar aka notification bar allows you to inform your site visitors about a new feature, sale, news or any other promotion. You can choose from two styles, including full and pill-shaped.

To get started, go to Appearance > Editor > Templates and select the template you want to add the promo bar to. It will then appear on every page that uses this template.

Simply insert the promo bar template area above the header. You can even make it sticky by adding the promo bar template area to a group and setting that group’s position to sticky.

New Header Style

Rockbase launched at the beginning of March with four head styles to choose from. With version 1.0.1 they have introduced a new pill-shaped header style.
