Descript Turns Underlord Into An AI Co-Editor

Almost one year after launching Underlord, Descript has completely overhauled its AI video editing assistant. It has been transformed into an AI co-editor that turnss your vision into video.

Previously, Underlord could only perform the actions listed on its menu, such as removing filler words and applying Studio sound.

Now, however, it’s an actual AI co-editor with expertise and good taste. You can ask it to create any video and it will know how to do so. It’s got all of these things:

• Judgment: It can provide feedback on your script and then edit it for you. Alternatively, it can write a script for you and make edits based on your feedback.
• Expertise: It has access to all Descript tools, features and workflows. Not sure how to do something in Descript? Just ask Underlord to do it for you!
• Stamina: It’s always available and can handle all the tedious, multi-step processes involved in creating every video.

As it’s still in beta, Descript is offering free, unlimited use of the new Underlord. Until the end of June, using it for AI actions won’t count towards your monthly AI limit.
