Formidable Forms Rolls Out Pricing Fields For Ecommerce

Formidable Forms is more than just a normal contact form plugin for WordPress. Since the end of last year, for example, it also supports Appointment Scheduling. They have now kicked off the year 2020 with another bang. Say hello to the all-new Pricing Fields for ecommerce.

So you’re about to get rich on your next big score? But since your turnover will be somewhere between that of a street vendor of homemade lemonade and Jeff’s mega online store (more likely the former), it probably doesn’t make sense to use a full-fledged online shop solution such as WooCommerce for the time being. To keep the costs low, you can also use Formidable Forms. Well, you need a contact form anyway. Thanks to the newly introduced pricing fields you can create quick and easy ecommerce forms such as order forms, calculation forms, quote calculators, and estimation calculators. Calculations can be automated and currencies can be formatted.

The new ecommerce feature comes with the following three new field types:

• Product (displayed as radio, checkbox, dropdown, free text, or a user defined value)
• Quantity (let customers choose how many products they want to purchase)
• Total (automatically calculates all products & quantities in the form)

All prices are displayed in the desired currency as defined in the Global Settings. However, you can also change the currency per form via custom code and a hook. Since March 2020, you can link multiple product fields to a single quantity field. As a result, you can easily add variables to your ecommerce products, e.g. add sizes to clothes, add hardware upgrades to tech items, or choose different levels of support.

There is no need for custom coding or additional plugins anymore.
