  • External assignments, and
  • Native video hosting.

In addition, Heartbeat has introduced hero sections on lessons, community embed cards and much more. Sound interesting? Take the community platform for a spin!

Native Video Hosting

Native video hosting now allows you to upload and host videos directly from within Heartbeat. It comes with the following features:

  • 50 Hours of Video Uploads: Upload full courses and video libraries with fast load times, seamless playback and automatic subtitles.
  • Unlimited Streaming: Members can rewatch videos with no limits.
  • Download Prevention: Prevent bad actors from downloading content.
  • Authentication Check on Video Load: Only show videos to the members should have access to.
  • Detailed Video Analytics (coming soon): You can track views, watch times, completion rates, engagement spikes, devices used, pauses, skips, and more.

Please note that Native Video Hosting is a $19 per month add-on.

Automatic Subtitles for Native Videos

When you upload large videos to Heartbeat using the new native video feature, subtitles will be created automatically.

Since this happens during the video encoding process, all videos uploaded on or after 8 April will have subtitles automatically created for them.

Please note that subtitles take about 5 minutes to appear after a video is uploaded.
