They have significantly improved the ecommerce capability of their learning management system. Check out the new features below.
Self-Managed Recurring Order Management
After updating the LifterLMS PayPal and Stripe add-ons to the latest versions, students can update their credit card on file. Also they can switch between both payment methods.
In addition, students are now able to cancel a future recurring payment by themselves.
Recurring Order Management for Admins
Recurring order management is not only available for students, but for admins too. You can now make exceptions for certain customers in terms of recurring payments.
The new flexibility allows you to add some extra time to subscriptions before the next payment date for instance. Furthermore you can extend both free or paid trial periods and update payment details of orders.
Automated Payment Retry
There can be several reasons for failed payments. Customers have exceeded their credit card limit or the card on file expired for instance.
Supported LifterLMS payment gateways are now automatically retrying to charge the amount due 12, 24, 48 and 72 hours after the initial try failed.
Customers on the other hand are getting notified via pop-ups and email of their failed payments.
Manual Payment Gateways
LifterLMS 3.10 enables you to accept recurring payments via the native manual payment gateway. This one is included in the free LMS core plugin.
Simply set up recurring payments via bank transfers or check for instance. They will then have to be approved manually.
Pricing, Support & Updates
The LifterLMS plugin can be downloaded for free. The PayPal and Stripe add-ons can be purchased for $99/yr for a Personal license. A Developer license for up to 5 sites is available for $299/yr.
Both add-ons are also part of the LifterLMS product suites called Universe Bundle and Infinity Bundle. However, you can test the Universe Bundle for $1 for 30 days.
