MainWP Rolls Out API Backups Extension in Beta
Dennis from MainWP has just announced the release of the brand-new API Backups extension for their WordPress management plugin, currently in beta. They have also released version 4.4 and new Database Updater and Cache Control extensions to make your workflow even more efficient.
API Backups Extension
As the name suggests, MainWP’s new API Backups extension simplifies the process of backing up and restoring your child sites, all from the convenience of your MainWP dashboard. With just a few clicks, you can now easily backup, view and restore individual child sites or even perform bulk backups for multiple ones.
The MainWP API Backups extension supports child sites hosted on GridPane, Cloudways, DigitalOcean, Vultr and Linode. All you need is the API key from your hosting provider, hence the name.
MainWP 4.4, Database Updater & Cache Control Extensions
MainWP has also released the Database Updater extension, which allows you to update the WooCommerce and Elementor plugin databases directly from the MainWP dashboard. You don’t need to log into WP Admin for each site anymore.
Released with version 4.4, Cache Control is a MainWP Pro extension that allows you to automatically purge the cache on your child sites after updates to the WordPress core, themes or plugins. Speaking of which, they have also made significant improvements to the UI/UX, introduced Guided Tours and better management of tags and clients.
