Previously, you could only select an existing post from the custom field. If you wanted to create a new post and select it in the custom field, you had to go to the Admin menu and create a post as usual.
The time-saving “Add New” feature allows users to add new items, taxonomies or users directly in the custom fields via a pop-up without having to switch screens. It even supports cloneable fields.
